About Katie
After 20 years as a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist I was led to a change of career in 2003,
when I trained as a Massage Therapist (Diploma Remedial Therapy) and completed my Reiki Training.
I now run my own business in Maleny,
offering Massage, Reiki treatments, Gendai Reiki Training courses & Tinnitus Counselling.
My Journey with Reiki
I did my first Reiki Level 1 in 1991 with Sandra Daubney, a Usui Systems Reiki Master.
After many years, where Reiki played a passive role in my life, I returned to the Reiki path,
completing Level 2 and 3 training with Pamela Harrison, a Usui Shiki Ryoho master.
During this training I was introduced to Hiroshi Doi's work and Gendai Reiki-Ho.
My instinct was to follow this further, and after much searching, I found a Gendai teacher in Australia
and completed Shinpiden training with Sheila Neville, a Gendai Reiki-Ho Shihan.
After Shinpiden, I applied for and received Gokukaiden with Sheila, starting my own teaching
in 2004.
Reiki has given me such gifts, it is hard to list them all.
I believe it has helped me heal on physical, emotional and spiritual levels, and is now
an integral part of my daily life.
I get such a sense of joy working with others with Reiki, both in individual sessions
and in initiating others to its beauty.
I will be eternally grateful to all my teachers and those masters,
both on this plane and those who have passed on, for their wisdom and their gift of Reiki.
And now I can thank my students for their gift of sharing this part of their journey with me
